Child Care Plus Staff

All the teachers at Child Care Plus Learning Center are experienced, caring and nurturing. They have various levels of education, certifications and degrees. All enroll in continuing education courses throughout the year. Our teachers are certified in CPR and First Aid. Our child:teacher ratios are lower than required by state regulations, and our rate of teacher retention is excellent.

Miss Stacey | Co-Director/ Preschool Lead Teacher

DSC00016I am the Head Teacher and Co-director of Child Care Plus and I have been with the center for 15 years. I hold a B.S. in Early childhood Education from Rhode Island College, with a major in Psychology. I have a loving husband and 14 year-old son. Prior to receiving my college degree, I subbed for the Johnston, Smithfield and Providence school systems for two years, while continuing to hold a job at a Johnston child care facility.

Child Care Plus is like my second family, and the staff has remained consistent over the years. This is, of course, great for our children and has allowed us to blend our own unique talents to make for a happy and enjoyable environment. We have a great support system, which overall benefits our students. The high standards that are required in early childhood education are paramount. This can be seen by the careful planning and alignment of the curriculum to Rhode Island’s Early Learning standards.

Our center time/learning activities are accompanied by individual teachers who facilitate small groups of children in the learning process. This is a wonderful asset to my students, one that I haven’t seen in previous centers. This type of individualized learning is due to the fact that Child Care Plus has one of the lowest child:teacher ratios in a child care setting. This of course is a benefit to teachers and students alike!
